Duette® / Honeycomb Blinds

Duette® Shades by Luxaflex® offers an extensive choice of fabrics with new operating systems and is viewed as a leader in the market with this type of blind. The unique honeycomb construction makes these blinds soft, durable, and highly energy efficient. Insulating properties help keep the heat out in summer and the warmth in during winter. Reduces reflected sound. This is the ideal blind to be used in conservatories or skylight applications.

Various other suppliers also offer a similar type of honeycomb blind with various fabrics and hardware options available.

Day / Night (blockout and sheer fabric combination) Duette® blinds available.

  • Blockout – Fabric blocks out light completely. A hundred per cent block-out can only be achieved by using side channels with a valance at the top.
  • Translucent – Fabric gives privacy at night but does filter through light during the day but does not allow a clear view of the outside.
  • Sheer – These fabrics filter and diffuse light while reducing glare and solar heat gain. Allows view to the outside during daytime but does not provide privacy at night when lights are on inside.
  • Available with the new revolutionary LiteRise® (cordless) head rail system.
  • Available with new SmartCord® head rail system (fixed cord length) – easy to operate. New bigger blinds are now available.
  • Also available in the new EasyRise® cord system.

White, Magnolia, Light Grey, Metal Grey and Bronze.

The fabric of Duette® blinds cannot be separated from the head rail and bottom rail. To prevent the Duette® fabrics from becoming dirty, the blinds should be cleaned regularly with a feather duster or with a vacuum cleaner at a low setting.

Stains should be removed as quickly as possible with a soft sponge and lukewarm water containing a non-synthetic detergent if required.

In order to clean the whole blind, it is possible to submerge non-blockout coated Duette® fabrics in a bath together with the bottom rail.

Please note: Blockout Duette® blinds cannot be cleaned with water as the metallic coating will be damaged.
