Regular vacuuming of your blinds, will take off a lot of strain from the extensive cleanup and keep your blinds from going dark, literally.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Vacuum cleaner
- Water
- Dishwashing liquid
- Sponge pad
- Lint-free cloth
- Gloves
- Vacuum off any loose dust, to avoid soaking the dirt into the fabric while cleaning.
- Mix your solution: 1 tablespoon of liquid dishwashing liquid to 4 cups of water and mix well.
- Don’t forget your gloves. Dip your sponge into the solution, squeeze any excess liquid out and give the blinds a gentle scrub. Resist harsh scrubbing. Follow the grain of the fabric. Don’t worry if the fabric becomes a bit sudsy. When you’re satisfied with the results of the cleaning, wipe the soap off with a damp cloth. Dip the lint-free cloth in clean water (squeeze it to remove dripping water) and wipe off any extra soap on the blinds. Finally, let the blinds air dry.
